B 51 - 4-lane expansion between the Bitburg centre und Bitburg south
Between the Bitburg centre and Bitburg south junctions, the B 51 (Trier - A 60) also carries traffic from the B 50 and the B 257. Due to the high traffic loads and the deficits of the route with regard to traffic safety, the B 51 is to be widened to 4 lanes in this section. The measure includes 5 intersections and 3 junctions, which will be adapted to the expansion. Within the framework of noise prevention, active noise protection measures are being planned.
