EUREF Campus
The vision was to develop a showcase project for the energy transition in the real estate sector on the former GASAG premises in Berlin Schöneberg. The campus is to serve as a real laboratory for energy transition technologies. At the same time, cost-efficient office space and experimental space for start-ups will be provided. A total of 165,000 m² GFA is being created on a 5.5 hectare footprint.
Outcome:
- This created the development of a supply that already met the German government's 2050 climate protection targets in 2014.
- This resulted in a resilient concept that anticipated possible changes in the legislative framework and left room for new technologies.
- Research projects on innovative plant technology and flexible building loads can also be implemented in this way.
