Hangar 2, Airport

The 4-storey hangar comprising an office and maintenance wing was altered with ongoing operation and extended by a building addition. The purpose of the alteration was to guarantee valid requirements for work safety, work station guidelines, optimization of existing work flows and upgrading of fire protection. Hangar dimensions are approx. 66 x 126 m. The existing supporting structure of gluelam girders had to be proved for a new crane system and the provision of new cranes in ground floor workshop areas.
