Port Arthur - Erneuerung Eisenbahnüberführung EÜ km 60,487

Line 5320 Treuchtlingen - Nuremberg

The "Port Arthur" flyover structure (line 5320) in the west end of Nuremberg main station is to be renewed in order to continue to ensure operational safety in the long term.
The "Port Arthur" overpass in the west end of Nuremberg main station transfers the tracks of line 5320 Treuchtlingen - Nuremberg via the directional track Bamberg - Nuremberg (5900), via the "south track" Nuremberg - Fürth (5907), via the siding 461 from Nuremberg main station and via the two tracks of the line Nuremberg - Ansbach (5902).
During the design phase and the in-depth planning process, further constraint points and thus changes in comparison to the preliminary planning have emerged.
The result of the planning is a two-span truss superstructure with constant superstructure thickness in accordance with the regulations and escape routes outside or inside the supporting structure.

  • Length of structure: 170 m Length
  • Double-track truss superstructure
  • Subway of 5 tracks in the Nuremberg main station area
  • Additional creation of a BIM model
