Planning and management of the construction of the first running water heat pump in Berlin
The plan is to engineer a flow heat pump combined with a CHP to participate in the iKWK subsidy program. It is an element of a larger district heating system of 250 MW thermal. It is embedded in the support mechanism for innovative CHP solutions. It is part of a decarbonization strategy of the district heating network in general and of a carbon-fired site in particular.
Outcome:
- River heat pump 2 x 3.5 MW
- Cogeneration 4 x 4.5 MW
- Commissioning planned for winter 2022 heating season
